With Donald Trump’s victory in the presidential election the promised (threatened) mass exodus of liberal celebrities has yet to materialize. They all said they were leaving if Trump won, but they appeared to going back on their word. At least one of these liberal elitists has finally offered an explanation. Amy Schumer claims that when she said she was leaving it was all a big joke. In addition, she thinks anyone who expects her to move out of the country is basically an asshole.
In September during an interview with the BBC, Schumer said, “My act will change because I will need to learn to speak Spanish because I will move to Spain or somewhere. It’s beyond my comprehension if Trump won. It’s too crazy.”
But on Instagram yesterday, she posted this:
“First of all the interview where I said I would move was in London and was said in jest. Not that anyone needs more than a headline to count something as official news,” wrote Schumer.
Uh, no she said she was moving to Spain, not London. Maybe being a liberal who thinks she is smarter than everyone else has her misunderstanding the actual country London is located in, I don’t know. If she said she was moving to Spain, what difference does it make that she said it in London?
The fact is, that she said she was moving and she definitely didn’t frame it as a joke. I get it that she’s unfunny, but this was not an attempt at humor. If it were, she would have said something about her vagina, because that’s the kind of highbrow humor she does.
If it’s not bad enough that Schumer promised to leave if Trump won and is backtracking, she now thinks that anyone who believed what she said is a jerk:
“Anyone saying pack your bags is just as disgusting as anyone who voted for this racist homophobic openly disrespectful woman abuser,” said Schumer.
That’s pretty damn liberal right there. She is calling people who took her for her word “disgusting” for expecting honesty out of her.
Schumer also slammed the people who put Trump into office and forced her to reveal what a lying sack of shit she is:
“People who voted for him you are weak. You are not just misinformed. You didn’t even attempt information,” Schumer cried.
How do you attempt information? Speaking of misinformation, along with this tantrum Schumer posted a newspaper headline with a debunked quote erroneously attributed to Trump where he says Republicans are dumb. Schumer even admits that the headline is bogus:
“Yes this quote is fake but it doesn’t matter,” said Schumer.
To recap: Schumer said she was moving to Spain if Trump won. She thinks people are dicks for expecting her to do something she said she would do. She also thinks people are stupid for voting for Trump, which revealed her to be a liar. She justifies all of this with information even she admits is false.
I think that sums everything up nicely. Schumer is full of shit, like all liberals, and she doesn’t think it matters because her feelings are hurt. Besides, she is smarter than you and the sooner you realize it the better.(h/t:downtrend)
