The message out of the perversion promoting White House is that anything goes, that all’s fair in love and war and everything is or soon will be appropriate. The more bizarre the behavior, the more protected and precious it is. Not everyone agrees that emulating Sodom is a wise course of action for the United States or that it makes for a leadership credential that places us in a favorable position globally.
While some would argue that it doesn’t matter what the cultures of other nation tolerate in our military leadership, when we routinely engage and insert our military as our representatives into other nations where women are often treated as second class citizens, alcohol is forbidden, barbarism is commonplace, and homosexuals are executed, those arguments lose much of their legitimacy. It does matter who represents us and what conduct is sanctioned by our military leaders. The reality is what it is as much as some might like to theorize or profess to the contrary.
Rep Louie Gohmert (R-TX) questions the wisdom of the Senate confirming Eric Fanning to be the next Secretary of the Army, given his homosexuality. Fanning has been a vocal advocate for the acceptance of homosexuality as normal behavior, sanctioned by the military as being equal with heterosexuality. He promotes cross-dressing as normal fashion choices and open transgender military service as personnel exhibiting what should be considered to be normal gender discovery and recognition. For many Americans those are immoral positions, as they are in many other nations. For some they are heresy.
The fact that the timing coincides with information becoming more publicly known about American troops being ordered to ignore the screams of young Afghan boys as they were being raped by the Afghan troops we were propping up and supporting is troubling for Rep Gohmert. Not only were their crimes ignored, but the offenders were empowered by the US military.
Confirmation hearings will be upcoming for Fanning in the Senate and Gohmert expresses his view that his approval would send the wrong message, leading our armed forces into disrepute, disrespect and increase the motivations for others to take aggressive action against them.
He believes that a homosexual Secretary of the Army would be viewed by moderate Muslims as an atrocious thing and consistent with our condoning the raping of teenage boys by adult perverts, the monsters that we enabled. He notes that Obama’s priorities are his social and political reengineering, not the well being and lives of our military or those we ally ourselves with.
